Meet Cathy Katz, our Executive Director at Oakmont of Roseville.
Cathy joins our Roseville Retirement Community with a very personal passion for senior care and memory care. She decided on a career in senior living after her in-laws were in a car accident that magnified the symptoms of her mother-in-law’s memory care needs. Her father-in-law and entire family worked diligently to provide aid to her mother-in-law, and in the process, Cathy was able to see what a difference great care can make in the lives of aging seniors as well as those needing around-the-clock memory care.
Cathy was originally from Northern California and moved back to the Roseville area eighteen years ago after spending more than ten years across the country building work experience and growing her family. Once back in the Roseville area, she knew that she wanted to find a retirement community that espoused her same beliefs about providing world-class care for seniors. When asked why she chose Oakmont Senior Living as a place to work, she explains, “Our community is unique because of the people. I could brag about the food, the outings, the programs, and more, but it is the people that make Oakmont different. Our residents partner with us to raise the bar of excellence, and our team continues to inspire one another to be the best that we can be. You can sense the joy in the environment.”
Cathy and her husband Alan have been married for 36 years and have two beautiful daughters. They also enjoy exploring and taking trips with their RV. Whenever possible, they love to have their daughters and new grandsons join them as they go camping. They’re always sure to bring their family dog, Ellie, who loves exploring with the family.
