By the time he was in high school, Jeff knew he wanted to work in the culinary arts. With a passion for gourmet cuisine and the artistic expression therein, he entered the Culinary Arts & Hospitality program at the City College of San Francisco’s downtown campus in 2012. During this time, he began working as a grill cook at the SFO Marriott, then continued as lead cook at the SFO Westin Hotel. From there, he went to Mayfield Bakery & Café near Stanford University as sous chef, then continued as sous chef at Sharon Heights Golf & Country.
Thrilled at an opportunity to work under Food Network star Chef Rina Younan, who was the Executive Chef at Oakmont of Roseville at the time, he eventually relocated his family to Sacramento in 2016 to join Oakmont Senior Living. Now the executive chef at Oakmont of Roseville, Chef Jeff says he most enjoys his daily opportunities to be expressive and creative in the kitchen. He is passionate about preparing seasonally inspired, gourmet meals for our residents.
Chef Jeff describes his cooking style as diverse, and his varied dishes reflect this. He is always learning new recipes and techniques to continuously delight and entice our residents and guests.
